BlockchainWork and Open Campus Join Forces to Strengthen Web3 Workforce in Vietnam

HO CHI MINH CITY, April 20, 2026 – BlockchainWork, Vietnam’s leading blockchain talent community, is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with Open Campus, a community-led protocol building the financial and credentialing rails for global education backed by Animoca Brands. The partnership was established following an official visit by Open Campus leadership to the BlockchainWork office in Ho Chi Minh City in March 2026, and formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on April 20, 2026.

The office visit brought together Mr. Jonah Lau (Vice President, Head of Portfolio, Animoca Brands and Core Contributor, Open Campus), Mr. Cris Tran (Core Contributor, Open Campus), Ms. Tien Le (CEO & Co-founder, BlockchainWork), and Mr. Phan Trung Hieu (Chairman & Co-founder, BlockchainWork). The meeting marked the alignment of both organizations on a shared vision to develop blockchain talent and career pathways in Vietnam and the broader Asia region.

Vietnam: A Web3 market at the tipping point

Vietnam has emerged as one of the most dynamic blockchain markets in Southeast Asia. With 17 million Vietnamese owning cryptocurrency – placing the country among the global top 5 for crypto adoption – and the official legalization of digital assets under the Digital Technology Industry Law effective from 2026, the foundations for a thriving Web3 talent economy are firmly in place.

The Vietnam blockchain market is projected to grow from USD 350 million in 2023 to USD 925 million by 2029, a CAGR of 17.4%. Yet despite this momentum, the gap between Web3 education and Web3 employment remains one of the industry’s most pressing challenges – one that BlockchainWork and Open Campus are uniquely positioned to address together.

The objective is to develop a system that enables employers and enterprises to verify candidates’ completion of educational certifications and participation in blockchain industry ecosystem activities.
