GCC Inc. – Fighting fraud in the construction machinery industry with blockchain
Mr. Nakamori from GCC Inc. introduced “Smart Terrace,” a blockchain-based system designed to prevent fraud in the construction machinery sector – an industry where each asset can be worth millions of dollars.
Key takeaways:
-
Japan sees over ¥1 billion in fraud damages per day, including scams in heavy equipment trades.
-
Ownership of construction machines is still managed via paper certificates, making fraud and theft common.
-
Smart Terrace uses blockchain + NFT + AI to digitize proof of ownership, enable real-time verification, and prevent illegal sales and exports.
-
The system is already being integrated with multiple stakeholders, including manufacturers, government agencies, and law enforcement.
TECHFUND – Why security audits are crucial for web3 projects
Mr. Ida from TECHFUND emphasized the increasing risks and sophistication of cyberattacks targeting Web3 companies.
Key takeaways:
-
Web3 projects manage valuable user assets—security is non-negotiable.
-
Even audited projects can be vulnerable if audit quality is low—51% of hacked projects had audits.
-
TECHFUND recommends combining automated tools, manual audits, and bug bounties for maximum protection.
-
They introduced a DevSecOps approach, embedding security throughout the development lifecycle.
-
Their AI-powered audit tools and pay-as-you-find pricing model help projects scale securely and affordably.
