On March 28, 2025, the tech scene in Vietnam witnessed a vibrant convergence of innovation and investment as Rev Saigon 2025 unfolded at the Hilton Saigon, hosted by Pitchflix in partnership with APAC DAO and backed by Google Cloud. The event was part of the UK–Southeast Asia Tech Week, the UK Government’s flagship regional initiative to foster digital trade and collaboration across the region.

Rev Saigon stood out for its distinctive reverse pitching format — where nine venture capitalists from Southeast Asia and beyond took the stage to pitch themselves to Vietnamese startup founders. This flipped format invited honest dialogue and transparent insights into what each VC seeks in a founder or project.

UK Deputy Trade Commissioner Rhiannon Harries opened the event with a message on the strength of UK–Vietnam trade ties, followed by Zak Lawton from the British Embassy Bangkok, who unpacked opportunities for bi-directional tech investment.

Meanwhile, Russ Shaw CBE, founder of Tech London Advocates & Global Tech Advocates, extended an open invitation to Vietnamese founders to join the global network of over 40,000 tech professionals, reinforcing Rev’s core theme: borderless collaboration for tech-driven growth.

As co-host, APAC DAO spotlighted the growing influence of Web3 in reshaping financial systems and scaling cross-border innovation. Discussions centered around:

With over 800+ projects and collaborations with leaders like Ethereum Foundation and Ripple, APAC DAO reinforced its role as the go-to Web3 builder community in Asia.
